The PAPSAP Study
Pregnant women who may have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) are needed to evaluate the potential effects of OSA on the placenta, and the possible links
between OSA and developing preepclampsia during pregnancy.
You may be eligible if you are:
- Less than 13 weeks pregnant
- Overweight (BMI > 30)
- Someone who snores while sleeping
- Planning to deliver at Women & Infants Hospital
What can you expect?
- Answering questionnaires during 4 study visits
- Sleep assessment, periodic blood pressure and activity monitoring at home
- Blood testing, and placental testing at the time of delivery
- Free educational class on pregnancy health
Your participation is voluntary. You will be compensated for your participation in this study.
